It’s not always easy to live a healthy lifestyle—it does take work, but isn’t the ROI worth the work? If you invest in your health, you will be rewarded with a healthy life. Barring any catastrophe or unexpected illness, if you do your due diligence to live a healthy lifestyle, you will reap the results. If you live an unhealthy lifestyle, the same rule applies.
So if you’re trying to live a healthy lifestyle, what are some things you should limit and what are some things that you should do more of? For starters, I believe in exercising consistently every week. I’m not an exercise fanatic, but I do my best to remain consistent. We exercise three days a week—plyometrics and swimming on Mondays, and we do cardio and strength training the other two days in the week.
Maintaining a healthy diet is also vital to good physical health and well-being. My husband and I try to have salad with every meal and include vegetables with each meal as well. We limit our intake of salty and fatty foods and desserts. Another thing I’m working on is to drink more water each day. I’ve given up drinking soda and only occasionally have soda if we go out. It’s not always easy to keep up with healthy eating habits, but if you have discipline and try to keep everything in balance, you’ll do fine.
